JDP Scholars

Each year the Jayda Dionne Scholarship Fund selects and honors an incoming freshman or current college student with a one-year scholarship. We are pleased to recognize our recipients who have demonstrated hard work, willingness to help others and determination against tremendous odds.

Keauna Lenton

2016-2017 Recipient

Ms. Keauna Lenton will be a freshman at Hampton University in the fall of 2016. She's a gifted student, concert performer, freelance artist, and community volunteer who "is not afraid to push herself beyond her comfort zone." Ms. Lenton enjoys working with elementary school-age children, connecting with them, and sharing their successes. While excelling in academia and community service as a high school student, Ms. Lenton also managed to hold down a part-time job. She gallantly and confidently faces substantial challenges, remaining true to herself.
