JDP Scholars

Each year the Jayda Dionne Scholarship Fund selects and honors an incoming freshman or current college student with a one-year scholarship. We are pleased to recognize our recipients who have demonstrated hard work, willingness to help others and determination against tremendous odds.

Erica Denival

2015-2016 Recipient

Ms. Erica Denival is a freshman at FAMU. She was at the top of her high school class and she served in the volunteer program at her local hospital for three consecutive years where she actively participated in a very busy workflow while overcoming “heavy burdens” in her life. Her honors biology teacher remarks that she is “a student of high integrity, kind, understanding and possessing a maturity that is rare to find in a high school student.”
