The 2018-19 JDP Scholarship Fund recipient!

Sydney Belcher, Georgia State

The Jayda Dionne Parker Scholarship Fund Board of Directors announces selection of Ms. Sydney Belcher, 2018-2019 Scholarship Recipient! Ms. Sydney Belcher will be a freshman at Georgia State University in the fall of 2018, majoring in nursing. She’s an exemplary student with a 4.0 high school GPA who has “resolved to live her life well”, overcoming medical challenges. Voted most valuable player of her school’s basketball team, Ms. Belcher has chaired blood drives, served meals to the homeless at her church, participated in Health Occupation Students of America, and has been a member of Project Blossom and the Inspiring Students to Excel in High Education Program. In the face of adversity, Ms. Belcher “chooses to soar, focusing on the things she can do to help others”. The Jayda Dionne Parker Scholarship Fund joyfully announces Ms. Belcher’s selection.
